Apart from other activities of each local country chapter, an annual international conference and exhibition is organized and hosted each year by rotation by APSA member country chapters. In the past APSA annual conventions have been held at Bangkok (Thailand), Seoul (South Korea), Manila (Philippines), Penang (Malaysia), New Delhi (India), Beijing (China), Marina Mandarin (Singapore) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). Security professionals from all over the world come together at these conferences to discuss issues relating to safety, security & loss prevention. A distinguished gathering of international experts share experiences, exchange views, formulate strategies & interact with peers from all around the world. Over 3000 security practitioners from over 22 countries have already attended and benefited from APSA Conferences. The 15th Asian Professional Security Association (APSA International Conference is set to be held on November 18-20, 2008 at National Convention Centre, Hanoi, Vietnam. Endorsed by the Ministry of Public Security, the 15th APSA International Conference will be held concurrently with the VIETSECURITY 08 Expo which is the largest gathering of security professionals in the Vietnam and the region. The conference is aptly themed as, "Unity Towards a Global Approach to Security and Safety." The recent onset of global unrest has posed great challenges on the security and safety industry and has deemed this event timely. It is during these trying times that we should, as security professionals, unite as one and work more closely at how we can rise above these challenges. As such, we are inviting your organization to participate in this very important and opportune event.
